OUR VALUES

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

Different perspectives. Stronger outcomes. Better projects.

At EGS, we believe great projects are built by people with different backgrounds and ways of thinking. By fostering an inclusive culture, we strengthen our team and deliver better outcomes for clients, partners and communities.

  • 01 Building an inclusive culture

Respect, collaboration and open communication are at the heart of how we work together.

  • 02 Creating opportunities

We create pathways that support participation and long-term success across our industry.

  • 03 Learning through different perspectives

Diverse viewpoints challenge assumptions and help us find better ways to solve problems.

  • 04 Stronger together

We value every contribution, building stronger relationships and better decisions.

  • 05 Respect in action

Reflected in how we engage with our people, clients, First Nations communities and partners.

SOCIAL IMPACT

Building more than spaces. Creating lasting value.

At EGS, we believe every project is an opportunity to create positive change. Beyond delivering quality spaces, we focus on generating meaningful outcomes for the people, communities and industries connected to our work.

By prioritising collaboration, sustainability and community engagement, we aim to leave a lasting impact that extends well beyond project completion.

  • 01 Creating opportunities

We look for ways to create meaningful opportunities through our projects, supporting local businesses, strengthening industry participation, and helping build pathways for future generations.

  • 02 Supporting communities

Strong communities are built through strong partnerships. We work closely with clients, suppliers, community groups and First Nations organisations to deliver outcomes that create value beyond the construction process.

  • 03 Sustainable by design

We believe social and environmental responsibility go hand in hand. Through sustainable construction practices, resource recovery and circular economy initiatives, we seek to create positive outcomes for both people and the planet.

  • 04 Partnerships that matter

We value relationships that create genuine impact. By partnering with organisations that share our values, we amplify opportunities for inclusion, innovation, and positive change across the communities where we work.

  • 05 Leaving a lasting legacy

Reflected in how we engage with our people, clients, First Nations communities and partners.

SUSTAINABILITY IN DELIVERY

Embedded into planning, coordination and delivery not added later.

At EGS, sustainability is delivered through practical decisions on site. From material selection and waste management through to coordination and reporting, it is built into how we work every day.

  • 01 Waste and resource management

Materials are separated, tracked and diverted from landfill where possible, supporting circular outcomes and reducing environmental impact.

  • 02 Material selection

Products are selected with consideration for embodied carbon, durability and compliance with project sustainability requirements.

  • 03 Fit for reuse

Existing furniture and equipment are assessed for reuse, resale or recycling to reduce waste and support circular outcomes.

  • 04 Performance tracking

Waste, materials and project data are tracked and reported to support transparency and measurable outcomes.

  • 05 Industry alignment

Delivery aligns with Green Star, NABERS and broader sustainability frameworks where required.

WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY

Everyone goes home safe. No exceptions.

At EGS, safety is built into every decision we make. From planning and risk management through to project delivery, we create safe, well-managed environments where people can perform at their best.

We believe the best projects are delivered when everyone looks out for each other, communicates openly and takes pride in doing things the right way. Safety is not a box to tick, it is part of our culture and the foundation of every successful project.

  • 01 Planning for safety

We identify risks early, assess them thoroughly, and implement practical controls before work begins. Our proactive approach helps us manage challenges before they become issues, creating safer and more efficient project outcomes.

  • 02 Empowering our people

Through regular toolbox talks, site walks, training and ongoing consultation, we foster a culture where everyone has a voice. We encourage our people and project partners to speak up, share ideas and take ownership of safety on site.

  • 03 Systems that deliver

Our Integrated Management System is independently certified to ISO 45001, providing a consistent framework for health and safety management across all projects. Strong systems give our teams the confidence to deliver with certainty and care.

  • 04 Looking after our people

People are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating safe workplaces that support the health, wellbeing and recovery of our employees, subcontractors and visitors alike.

  • 05 Always improving

We do not stand still. Through audits, reviews, reporting, and continuous learning, we regularly refine our processes and strengthen our performance, ensuring we keep raising the bar for safety excellence.

WORKING WITH COUNTRY

Respecting culture. Creating opportunities. Delivering impact.

At EGS, working with Country is not an added layer. It is part of how we deliver. We approach every project with a commitment to meaningful First Nations engagement, building relationships that extend beyond the project itself.

We partner with Indigenous businesses, support participation across our projects, and focus on creating practical and lasting opportunities.

  • 01 Indigenous partnerships

We collaborate with Supply Nation registered Indigenous businesses to deliver real project outcomes, bringing local knowledge and capability into our work.

  • 02 Employment and opportunities

We create opportunities through direct project involvement, supporting workforce participation across live construction environments, and building practical experience.

  • 03 Supporting future generations

We support pathways for younger members of First Nations communities by helping develop skills, confidence, and long-term career opportunities within the industry.

  • 04 Cultural integration

We work with First Nations artists and consultants to embed cultural understanding into the spaces we deliver, ensuring projects reflect more than function.

  • 05 Lasting impact

We focus on outcomes that last, strengthening partnerships, supporting communities, and contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable industry.
